Why it helps

Instead of remembering to turn on battery saver when you are running low, the phone does it for you at the level you choose.

What you'll notice

When the battery reaches your chosen level, battery saver turns on by itself and the phone lasts longer.

How to set it up

Pick your phone.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Settings
  2. Battery
  3. Power saving
  1. Tap "Power saving" and choose what it limits.
  2. To have it start by itself, open "Modes and Routines" and add a routine.
  3. Set the condition to a battery level, such as below 20%.
  4. Set the action to turn on "Power saving".

Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: Power saving, Battery Saver, Low power mode.
