Why it helps

Batteries lose capacity over time. Knowing where yours stands tells you whether a replacement makes sense or whether it still has years left.

What you'll notice

You see how much of its original capacity your battery has left, and on many phones how many charge cycles it has done.

How to set it up

Pick your phone.

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Samsung Members
  2. Support
  3. Phone diagnostics
  4. Battery status
  1. Open the Samsung Members app.
  2. Tap "Support", then "Phone diagnostics".
  3. Tap "Battery status" and read the result.

How to undo it

Nothing to undo. This only shows information.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: Battery status, Cycle count, Battery capacity, Battery information.
