Scan QR codes without an extra app
QR code scanner, step by step on Samsung, Pixel and Xiaomi phones.
Why it helps
Your phone already reads QR codes for menus, Wi-Fi and tickets, so there is no need for a scanner app full of ads.
What you'll notice
Point the camera or the scanner tile at a code and a link appears to tap.
When to use it
When you see a QR code, then open the camera or the scanner tile in Quick Settings.
How to set it up
Pick your phone.
Samsung Galaxy
- Quick panel
- Scan QR code
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick panel

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: qr code, scan code, barcode scanner.
