Why it helps

Strangers, bins or wires in the background can be wiped out of a photo, and the gap is filled in for you.

What you'll notice

The thing you marked disappears and the background looks as if it was never there.

When to use it

When a good photo has something distracting in it, then open it in the editor and erase it.

How to undo it

Edits are saved as a copy or can be reverted in the editor; your original photo stays.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: magic eraser, ai erase, remove object, photo cleanup.
