Why it helps

Dolby Atmos makes the sound feel wider, and Adapt sound tunes the audio to your own hearing after a short test.

What you'll notice

Music and films sound fuller, and with Adapt sound the details you hear less well come through more clearly.

How to set it up

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Settings
  2. Sounds and vibration
  3. Sound quality and effects
  1. Tap "Sound quality and effects".
  2. Turn on "Dolby Atmos".
  3. Tap "Adapt sound" and follow the short hearing test.

How to undo it

Turn "Dolby Atmos" and "Adapt sound" off in the same screen.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: Equaliser, Equalizer, Dolby Atmos, Adapt sound, Sound effects.
