Why it helps

Sound Assistant, a Good Lock module, lets you keep music loud but games quiet, and skip tracks with the volume keys.

What you'll notice

Each app plays at the volume you set, and holding a volume key skips the song.

How to set it up

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Good Lock
  2. Life up
  3. Sound Assistant
  1. Open Good Lock and tap the "Life up" tab
  2. Install and open "Sound Assistant"
  3. Turn on "Individual app volume" and set a level for each app
  4. Turn on the option to hold the volume keys to skip tracks

Good Lock is only in the Galaxy Store in some countries.

You need the Good Lock app installed first.

Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.

How to undo it

Switch the options off in Sound Assistant, or uninstall the module.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: per app volume, app volume, equaliser, skip track volume key, good lock.
