Edge panels, step by step on Samsung phones.
About 3 minutesMake it yoursGuided in Phonewell Plus
Why it helps
A small handle on the edge of the screen opens a drawer of apps, app pairs, contacts and tools from anywhere.
What you'll notice
A swipe in from the side shows your shortcuts, whatever app you are in.
When to use it
When you want to jump to another app, then swipe the edge handle instead of going home.
How to set it up

- Settings
- Display
- Edge panels
- Open Settings, then "Display"
- Turn on "Edge panels"
- Tap "Edge panels", then "Panels" to choose which ones to show
- Swipe the small handle in from the side of the screen
Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.
How to undo it
Switch "Edge panels" off in the same screen.
Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: edge screen, side panel, app drawer, shortcut panel.
