Put a notification off until later
Snooze notifications, step by step on Samsung and Pixel phones.
Why it helps
Some notifications need you, just not right now. Snoozing hides one for a while and brings it back, so it isn't forgotten.
What you'll notice
The notification disappears and comes back at the time you chose.
When to use it
When a notification arrives that you can't deal with yet, then snooze it for an hour instead of swiping it away.
How to set it up
Pick your phone.
Samsung Galaxy
- Settings
- Notifications
- Advanced settings
- Tap "Advanced settings".
- Turn on the switch for the snooze button.
- On a notification, tap the snooze icon and pick how long.
Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.

How to undo it

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: Remind me later, Snooze.
