Set your own daily limit for an app
App timers, step by step on Samsung and Pixel phones.
Why it helps
Pick an app that eats your time and give it a daily limit. When the time is up, the app pauses until tomorrow.
What you'll notice
Once you reach your limit, the app's icon greys out and it stays paused for the rest of the day.
How to set it up
Pick your phone.

- Digital Wellbeing
- App timers
- Tap "Digital Wellbeing" (called "Digital Wellbeing and parental controls" on some versions).
- Tap "App timers".
- Pick the app and set a daily time.
Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.

How to undo it
Remove the timer in the same screen.
Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: App limits, Screen time, Digital Wellbeing.
