Talk on the phone in another language
Live Translate for calls, step by step on Samsung and Pixel phones.
Why it helps
Your phone translates both sides of a normal phone call as you speak, so you can book a table or sort out a problem abroad.
What you'll notice
You hear the other person in your language, and they hear you in theirs.
When to use it
When you need to phone someone who speaks another language, then turn on live translation for that call.
How to set it up
Pick your phone.
Samsung Galaxy
- Settings
- Galaxy AI
- Live Translate
- Tap "Galaxy AI", then "Live Translate".
- Turn it on and set your language and the other person's language.
- During a call, turn it on from the call screen.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: Live Translate, Voice Translate, Call translation, Interpreter.
