Why it helps

Easy mode gives bigger icons and text, a simpler home screen and a longer touch delay, which suits older relatives.

What you'll notice

The home screen has fewer, larger icons and everything is easier to read and press.

How to set it up

Samsung Galaxy

  1. Settings
  2. Display
  3. Easy mode
  1. Open Settings, then "Display"
  2. Tap "Easy mode" and turn it on
  3. Adjust the touch and hold delay if presses are registering too quickly

Based on reports from owners and the tech press. We have not yet checked it on a phone ourselves.

How to undo it

Switch "Easy mode" off in the same screen; the old home screen comes back.

Labels can differ. Menu names and their order vary between models and can change with a system update. If a step doesn't match your phone, search Settings for the feature name or one of its other names: simple mode, senior mode, big icons, elderly mode.
